I'm Just Gonna Google It

I search google every single day at least 6 times. I think I literally rape their database on a day to day basis. In the midst of my quest for information I always let my mouse linger on the new google design for whatever specific holiday/ birthday/ event the design team of the website are commemorating. The excitement to see what google is putting out next on Christmas is a shared language. So my question is….who's pulling the strings of the curtain behind all the scenes?

Drake OVO

This logo is Rap artist Drake's famous OVO logo. It's an owl which he also uses for his clothing line as well. This logo is just a simple outline of an owl but yet it fits his genre and fashion well.

funk 'n waffles

I'm going out on a bit of a limb here, but who doesn't like waffles?! Funk 'n Waffles is located just off of Syracuse's famed Marshall Street. This restaurant not only serves some of the greatest and most unique waffles I have ever tried, but they also have local artists works plastering their walls. It's totally worth the 45-minute drive to go and visit!

Julian Beever

Many of you probably have heard of the artist Julian Beever, but those of you who don’t he is a chalk artist that goes around and does pavement drawings. His pieces are drawn in distortion, creating a 3 dimensional look when seen from a particular viewpoint. I love some of his works, but it is hard to imagine spending all that time and have it eventually wash away.

If you know me you know my aesthetic is all about the power of line. It can make or break your composition. If there is anyone who deserves to be called the modern master of line, well in this case hair, its Winnie Truong. Winnie is a Canadian artist. Her detailed pieces make human hair into her chameleon--she literally bends, breaks and metamorphoses it into any form possible.
